The Avant-Garde Magazine Staff Cap releases worldwide on November 4th, 2022 at 9AM PST.
Designed by Herb Lubalin, and edited by Ralph Ginzburg, Avant-Garde Magazine ran for 14 issues and was published between 1968-1971 in New York City. A consistent theme within Avant-Garde was the critique of American society and sexual imagery while featuring work from John Lennon, Pablo Picasso, and Marilyn Monroe. In its short run, Avant-Garde became a seminal, yet overlooked publication. Years later, it experienced a resurgence and gained a cult following within the creative sphere.
This is the second World’s Fair public release paying homage to Avant-Garde.
